Car Air Conditioning FAQS
Westside Mechanical are well placed to take care all of your Car Air Conditioning Re-gas, Repair, Inspection or Servicing needs
Your air conditioner uses refrigerant to extract the excess heat from the air within the interior area of the vehicle to the outside, leaving only cooled or 'conditioned' air behind to be redistributed. It is important that the rubber seals are evaluated regularly for any signs of leaks or damage which could be contributing to a loss of refrigerant.
To run in optimum condition the refrigerant in your Automotive Air Conditioner system should ideally be refilled completely within four years of the manufacture date and every two to three years after that.
Your vehicle should be inspected by a qualified workshop such as Westside Mechanical (AU11046) regularly to make sure the air conditioning system continues performing correctly as well as having the mechanics evaluate the condition of the whole vehicle.
Repco Authorised Service mechanics perform a 65 point Vehicle Inspection with every service and are often able to give you a heads up about any components that may need replacing in the near future or those that are already worn beyond repair.
